Taylor Swift began her career in 2004 in Nashville. She originally wanted to be a country singer but became a pop singer. In 2005 she began to work on her first album with Nathan Chapman. Swift wrote three of the album's songs alone, and co-wrote the remaining eight with Rose, Robert Ellis Orrall, Brian Maher, and Angelo Petraglia. Her first album was released on was released on October 24, 2006. Since then Taylor has released many more albums and has recently just released a new album called Midnights. She has won 11 Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, 34 American Music Awards (the most won by an artist), 29 Billboard Music Awards (the most won by a woman), 84 Guinness World Records, 14 MTV Video Music Awards (including three Video of the Year wins—the most by an act), 12 Country Music Association Awards (including the Pinnacle Award), eight Academy of Country Music Awards, and two Brit Awards.
